How Do I Change My Bandwidth If I’m Expecting More Traffic On My Blog Next Month?

I am doing a month long event where I expect approximately four times the blog traffic I normally have. How do I find out the bandwidth I currently have and how do I increase this? I am also not sure if I am supposed to expand my internet or blogger bandwidth or exactly what bandwidth is…

I would contact your internet service provider (ISP) and talk to them about your current speed and your expectations for next month.
They will probably charge you to go to a new level of service but if you get more traffic and need more bandwidth it will be worth it.
    Hope that helps. GL

Bandwidth is 2 things. It can refer to speed (how fast someone can download something from your site) or it can refer to how much data can be downloaded from your site per month. That’s the one you’re interested in.
If you’re on a blogger site (like blogger.com or wordpress.com), you get the bandwidth you get. (I don’t know if they’ll sell you more.) If you’re on a hosted server (you pay by the month), your site shuts down for the month once the download bandwidth is exceeded. You pay for more.
(Give John the credit – I’m just explaining terms to you.)
